Larry Wallace, O'Fallon, MO: Do you think Roy Williams' comments will have a negative affect on Tony Romo and do you think it will affect the way Tony plays on Sunday against the Eagles?

Mickey: No and no. If you would have noticed the people making such a big deal about Roy’s comments are the ones who were not actually at The Ranch on Wednesday to witness and hear them in person. If they had been here and wanted to be fair, they would have seen the silly smile on Roy’s face, along with understanding his sarcasm that doesn’t always translate if you don’t actually see him talking. Look, nothing Roy said was inaccurate. He’s frustrated and it does seem the majority of Romo’s inaccurate passes are aimed toward him. Each might be pressing. But the good thing is, he’s still playing hard, still practicing hard and still religiously blocking down field. Another molehill made into a mountain, mostly by talk radio and the so-called sports leader out there, to me. Plus, Romo is a big boy. I mean he had to deal with What’s His Name, right? Funny, but on Thursday Roy actually said, “I’m not a T.O., I’m not trying to be a T.O., and I don’t know why people are trying to put me in that category. I’m happy to win . . . I’m not going to win this battle with you, the fans or anything, so what I have to do is produce on the football field, that’s it, and this is the last time I’m talkin’ about Romo to Williams, too.” Probably a wise decision.
