Mike Leake, Warrenton, VA: Why is it taking so long to make a change at running back? It is obvious that Marion Barber cannot be an effective starter when the backups (Felix Jones & Tashard Choice) have better averages and are more explosive. Barber is better late in the game and on short yardage. We need to make a change before it is too late and only have three games left to do so.

Mickey: This Cowboys team does need a more explosive running back, one that causes defenses to fear the next handoff being taken to the house. You don’t get that with Barber and teams will continue to absorb his punishing style of running as long as he’s only going for like five or 10 yards. The Cowboys need to rely more on Jones and Choice. They have the ability to make people miss and burst through tiny holes for sizeable games. At some point they must put aside egos and paychecks and run for the end zone.

Kenneth Combs, Puyallup, WA: When will the owner hire a real head coach like back in the day with Jimmy Johnson? It really hasn't been the same even the Big Tuna had us going but my fear is Jerry Jones will hire Jason Garrett and things will get even worse than now. Longtime fan and sick of the way the club has been ran. There are too many coaches out there that can turn this thing around. Please Jerry, do it for the fans. You have a nice stadium and great fans, so now lets build a great team. Remember the ones we had back in the day.

Mickey: Let’s let this season play out and see what happens. There are too many assumptions the Cowboys will finish 9-7 or even 8-8, and I’m guessing if that happens there will be changes made. But remember, your other assumption is this is a great team just in need of a different head coach. What if this is just an average team. After all, Bill Parcells’ last two teams in Dallas went 9-7 and other than the 13-3 season of ’07 under Wade Phillips by the way, his next two teams could very well go 9-7. So is this just a 9-7 roster?
